✔ Understanding Minor Injuries Under the SABS
A clear explanation of what qualifies as a “minor injury” under s.3(1) and how the MIG limits treatment and funding.
Explore decisions like Germaw v. Belair showing how PTSD, adjustment disorder, and functional impairment (e.g., driving avoidance, social withdrawal) justify MIG removal.
Unpack Kar v. Aviva, where chronic pain—without the need for a formal “chronic pain syndrome” diagnosis—was enough to remove the claimant from the MIG due to persistent impairment.
