Talking Turkey

Over the next few months while Queen’s Park is considering (as our intel suggests) changes to Ontario’s auto insurance scheme we’ll be talking turkey to politicians and policy analysts about the realities we are we not thankful for: 

• Frozen HSP fees while insurance premiums have gone up by 20% in the same 14-year time period
      
• Impact of inflation on non-indexed accident benefits: auto bodies are repaired at 2023 rates while human bodies get less and less rehab
      
• A clogged and claimant-unfriendly dispute resolution system (the LAT) which has lost sight of the SABS intended as consumer remediation legislation.
