Sept 14, 2023 - Practical Strategies for Overcoming the Invisible Injury - PIA Conference

August 23, 2023 - "Windsor lawyer pushing to get insurance companies to boost caregiver pay"
Joanna Sweet, Partner at Greg Monforton and Partners Injury Lawyers, an ORA Premium Supporter, made the local news for launching lawsuits against two of her client's insurance companies for limiting the pay for the personal support to less than minimum wage.
Out-of Session Services Deemed Reasonable and Necessary!
Out-of-session services such as brokerage, documentation support activity and forms completion fees were deemed reasonable and necessary in complex catastrophic injury case. We’re thrilled to see that counsel for the applicant were Roger R. Foisy, ORA Premium Supporter, associates Harpreet S. Sidhu and Daniel Berman, with paralegal Rusald Laloshi. Congrats to them, the applicant and the health service providers Entwistle Power Occupational Therapy and Genesis Community Rehabilitation Inc.

Help Shape The Future: Take This SurveyClaimant Access to Auto Insurance Medical, Rehabilitation and Attendant Care Benefits in Ontario: A Health Service Provider Survey The ORA is assisting the Coalition of Health Professions in Auto Insurance (the Coalition) with distribution of a survey on access to care for motor vehicle accident victim claimants in Ontario. Its purpose is to gain the input of HSPs who assess and/or treat MVA injuries on issues and solutions for improving access to medical, rehabilitation, and attendant care benefits in Ontario’s auto insurance sector. Please take 15-20 minutes to share your thoughts - by the extended deadline of September 15, 2023 - the data gathered will assist all of us in our advocacy for changes needed. |
